Alumni Interview: Dawn Farrell

Who: Dawn Farrell

Position: Actor

I began at Weathervane in the mid 90’s when the drive from Westerville to Newark was nearly an hour long at 30 mph on a two road highway.  Many magical times wearing mink stoles in the heat of summer in facility with tent flaps and no air conditioning.  I was working at the time so only managed a show every couple summers.

With the arrival of the late Matthew Trombetta as Director, I was in a position to do every summer during his reign, sometimes 2 shows per summer, or 3.  I believe played close to 20 roles overall to date, including few years with Adam Karsten before I had to take a leave of sorts for care giving duties within the family.  However I always had season tickets.  Weathervane is family to me.

This summer would have been my return to the Vane Stage, but now will look forward to gracing the stage again in 2021.
