Q: What is a “flex” ticket?

A: A “flex” ticket is essentially a credit for a ticket held in an account. It isn’t really a “ticket” until you exchange it for a ticketed event, like Man of La Mancha or The Addams Family.

Q: What can I use a “flex” ticket for?

A: Flex tickets can be redeemed (ie: exchanged) for any 2024 main stage summer season show.

Q: What if I do not use all of my Flex Tickets, will they be carried over?

A: Flex tickets can only be redeemed in the year for which they were purchased for. This means you use them or loose them. For example, 2024 flex subscriptions must be used for shows in 2024. They will not roll over to 2025.

Q: Why do I have flex tickets? I didn’t buy a flex subscription.

A: “Flex” tickets were also given to patrons who wanted a credit for tickets to a cancelled show held in their account.  Example: If you had two tickets to Plaid Tidings and wanted to keep them in your account, you would now have two “flex” tickets in your account. “Flex” tickets are essentially credits for tickets, and are an easy way for us to keep track of how many total ticket “credits” you have in your account.

Q: When can I exchange my flex ticket for a ticket to __________?

A: Flex tickets may be redeemed beginning February 1, 2024. You may exchange your flex tickets at any time before the show you want to attend. Please keep in mind – many of our shows do sell out, and we can only exchange flex tickets for shows that still have tickets available.

Q: Why can’t I have _____ seat?  / Why are there no ____ seats available?

A:  While we always do our best to assign the seats requested, we receive MANY requests for specific seats or type of seats. An example is the most popularly requested “center section, aisle” seat. The way our theater is designed, there are only 16 center aisle seats in existence for each performance. With nearly 1000 season tickets sold each summer, these seats are amongst the first seats claimed by season subscribers. Many of whom have held these seats for years. The same is true for many of our rows B, C and D seats, as these rows have fewer seats than the rows located higher up in the theater.

Our Row A seating is our only available accessible seating. Over the years, these seats have also been increasingly reserved by subscribers who need this type of seating in order to attend.

Subscribing and / ordering your tickets early is your best chance at receiving your desired seat. With our theater having just 9 rows of seating curved around our 3/4 thrust stage, we do believe there isn’t a bad seat in the house!

Q: Can I exchange or redeem my flex ticket online?

A: You may exchange your flex tickets via email (boxoffice@weathervaneplayhouse.org) or by calling or visiting our Box Office.

Q: I don’t have a physical flex ticket or voucher? How do I get one?

A: We don’t send physical flex tickets or vouchers. They are credits held in your account. In order to exchange one (or more) for tickets to a show – you simply need to either email, call or visit the Box Office. We will just need your name, the number of tickets you want exchanged, and the date you would like to attend. Then we can either mail you your tickets, hold them at Will Call or email you electronic tickets.
