Tickets are on sale now for the 2018 WYART Summer Series Shows!

Weathervane Young Artists’ Repertory Theatre (WYART) seeks to inspire and challenge artists of all ages and backgrounds through theatrical performance, production, and educational opportunities to develop skills that will lead them to becoming more compassionate artists, community members, and leaders.

All productions are performed by our WYART students.

Baby Beluga and Junior Cabaret

Shake your sillies out and wiggle your waggles away! Baby Beluga is going on a new adventure down by the bay! Rediscover the delightful music and hilarious lyrics of popular children’s songwriter, Raffi, with songs that have entertained toddlers to grade schoolers for years. His skillful combination of rhythm, rhyme and repetition makes singing loads of fun and builds speech and listening skills!

The students from the WYART Junior Cabaret Workshop will be performing before each Baby Beluga performance.

Performances: June 30 at 2:00pm and 5:00pm.

A Year With Frog and Toad Kids

This whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog, and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. Throughout the year, two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special.

Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain… or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?!?

It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical that is being led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the “status quo,” Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.
